Verify a Copyright Registration
If you have seen a work
which claims to be registered with the Intellectual
Property Rights Office Copyright Registration Service
you can verify that claim by entering the registration
number in the form below. This will help verify that:
- the registration exists;
- the registration
applies to the work being referred to; and
- it is
registered to the person claiming ownership.
All claims of
registration should be accompanied by the appropriate
reference number. If you encounter a claim of
registration that does not cite the registration number
you should request the reference number from the person
making the claim, and remind them of their obligation to
provide the reference number alongside any claim of
registration they make.
